Compacted gravel roadside, in fine gravel and dirt shoulder with Epilobium mirabile, Epilobium brachycarpum, Eriogonum umbellatum, Achillea millefolium, Phacelia hastata, Ribes lacustre, Elymus elymoides. Plants with spreading glandular hairs, clumped, with numerous spreading shoots, petals pinkish purple, seeds papillose, capsules glandular; estimated 50-100 plants on both sides of the road, but not seen or sought on the scree slopes by the road.
