Talus slope from just below summit to treeline. Treeline not very clear: scattered Pinus albicaulis, Abies lasiocarpa, Juniperus communis. Assoc.: Epilobium obcordatum, Eriogonum sp., Antennaria umbrinella, Potentilla sp., Heuchera parvifolia var. dissecta, Erigeron evermannii. Large, showy purple flowers, trailing, common in talus below summit. Leaf tissue in silica gel at ID. Phenology: Flowers.
