Gravelly benches above drainage, and on rock slopes.¶A post burn area in volcanic hills, from Sawtooth Complex Fire of 2006, with a few remaining stands of Pinus monophylla and Juniperus californica and also with Quercus cornelius-mulleri, Nolina parryi, Keckiella antirhhinoides, Yucca schidigera, Arctostaphyllos, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Salvia mohjavensis, Salazaria mexicana, Eriogonum inflatum, Echinocereus engelmanii, Opuntia basilaris, Stipa parishii and a diversity of spring annuals. Locally common.
