Edge of willow thickets in low dense turf, with Juncus parryi, Sibbaldia, Muhlenbergia filiformis. Cespitose, all plants small, erect infl; leaves 1-2.7 milimeters wide; tepals 2.5-2.8 milimeters; fruit 2 milimeters; style 0.1-0.3 milimeters; anthers 0.4 milimeters; filaments 0.4-0.7 milimeters; immature seeds 0.9 x 0.5 milimeters wide appendage 0.1-0.15 milimeters. Phenology: Fertile.
