Small eutrophic pond rimmed by Typha latifolia, with Lemna turionifera, Potamogeton spp., and Myriophyllum spicatum in water. Stamens 6 per flower; seeds ca. 0.6 mm long, tails lacking; larger fertile stems with chambered pith; plants cespitose, in large, dense tussocks with straight, erect stems, forming hummocks in pond; locally well-established. Phenology: Fruits.
