In freshwater intertidal marsh; full sun, with Impatiens ecalcarata, I. capensis, Holcus lanatus, Sonchus, Phalaris arundinacea, Lythrum alicaria, Eleocharis palustris, C. lyngbyei. Perennial, occasional; rooted on drift logs. Specimen examined as part of a U.S. National Institutes of Health grant for the Systematic study of Hypericum, M.T.
