Shrub-steppe/sagebrush habitat, east-facing slope, very grassy-shrubby area, growing among currants, deep soil. Other plants: Ribes cereum, grasses, Rosa woodsii, Lupinus polyphyllus, Artemisia tridentata, Leymus cinereus. Plants 10-12 decimeters tall, leaves incised approx midway to rib, buds terminal just starting to show white flowers, isolated clump or plant with multiple stems. Grazed to ground by wildlife one month later. Phenology: Flowers.
