Trifolium douglasii House

Plants are common in a small seasonally moist grass/shrubland within an open Pinus ponderosa/Pseudotsuga menziesii forest. Most of the population is in a moister concave slope with relatively deep soil of basalt. Associated species: Danthonia californica, Dactylis glomerata, Senecio foetidus, Melica subulata, Agastache urticifolia, Physocarpus malvaceus, Holodiscus discolor, Poa pratensis, Rudbeckia occidentalis, Erigeron speciosus. Plants are less common below in thin soils dominated by Festuca idahoensis, Sedum stenopetalum, Helianthella uniflora, Cirsium brevifolium. Slope 10%, Aspect West. Phenology: Flowers.
