Substrate: Eocene Challis volcanics--andesite and latite; on S-& W-facing slopes of unstable coarse texture; adjacent to PIAL/CAGE communities; Associated with Lupinus argenteus, Carex rossii, Phlox austromontanus, Senecio canus, Eriogonum caespitosum. Plants locally common, density high,all age classes represented in the population. White corolla to very light yellow with purple streaks on banner. Phenology: Flowers.
