Idaho: Payette County: Collected at the head of a north tributary canyon of Sand hollow 7 miles NE of Payette. Collected on BLM land. Elev. 2600 ft.
T 9 N, R 4 W, sec. 4 SW1/4 of SE1/4 of NW1/4 BPM
Sandy loam soil, 60% slope, and 280° aspect. Artemisia tridentata/Poa sandbergii veg. type which has been severely overgrazed. There is very little graound liter and many of the A. eremiticus plants have been grazed. 150 plants in a 50ft. high by 200 ft. wide area. Most have not flowered yet. Phenology: Flowers.
