Broad flat flood bar, sand among river cobbles. Assoc.: Artemisia tridentata, Eriogonum sphaerocephalum, E. microthecum, Astragalus purshii, A. succumbens, Erigeron poliospermus, Microseris troximoides, Poa secunda, Oenothera cespitosa. Plant dried up while in full flower--had a forked taproot, one branch of which had apparently been chewed off. Phenology: Flowers.
