British Columbia: Needles, 3.5 km due southwest of Needles ferry dock, west side Lower Arrow Lake, junction of Highway 6 and Inonoaklin Road to Edgewood, along ditch on dirt track 30 m north of Highway 6. Elev. 500 m

In dry ditch along rough dirt track up hill in ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir forest above pasture, with Juncus tenuis, Trifolium pratense, Carex amplifolia. Perennial to 2 m tall, 600+ stems along 100 m strip; also frequent in ditch along road to Edgewood for 3.4 km south from Highway 6; introduced from eastern North America; abundant.
