Oregon: Curry County: Above Winchuck River on private property (Pettygrew/Liles) south of Winchuck River Road, several miles inland from the coast. Site verified by Lee Gardner, a local logger, May 2011. [see maps on sheets 13901, 13912]
at site in 2011: Picea sitchensis, Sequoia sempervirens, Thuja plicata, Pseudotsuga menziesii, a single 60' cypress upstream from the site on private property. Soild derived from uplifted sandstones. Bark specimens collected during logging operation [see sheet 13901]; bark specimens cut to fit herbarium sheet. See notes on sheets 13901, 13916. Note acc number changed fr 13912 to 13916. Phenology: vegetative.
