Strip mall, in new unplanted landscaping strip between sidewalk and parking lot; in sandy topsoil with Populus trichocarpa saplings, Solanum physalifolium, Perilla frutescens, Polygonum aviculare, Chenopodium album, Chenopodium glaucum. Flowers yellow, 5-lobed; immature fruit densely long soft hairy; two plants with trailing stems just 30-50 cm long; muskmelon, cantaloupe.
