Extremely unstable talus slope of fine, volcanic rocks. Aspect W; slope ca 90% with scattered plants of Atriplex confertifolia, Artemisia tridentata tridentata, Enceliopsis nudicaulis, Penstemon nitidus polyphyllus, Astragalus amblytropis. Fls when fully open with petals white to cream (about 5-6 plants total of more than 34 comprising the population; remaining plants above the toe of slope with magenta flowers. No plants with intermediate corolla color noted. Phenology: Flowers and Fruits.
