Idaho: Cassia County: 9.3 air km NW from Paradise Creek, 12.3 air km SE from Elba, near the base of the Jim Sage Mountains on the Eastern facing slopes. Collected along a hillside 108 m from a drainage area. Elev. 1742 m.

Site revisited. Bromus tectorum abundant. Ephemeral drainage/ravine in sagebrush rolling foothills. Distance from one side of ravine to other about 100 m, forming a pan. Drainage flows from SW to NE. Overstory Artemisia, Chrysothamnus, and occasional Juniper tree. Understory largely cheatgrass and Poa species. Abundant forbs: Lithophragma, Myosotis, Alyssum, Allium (in drainage), Castilleja, Death Camas (on slopes). (See collection site directions at end). Nutlets enclosed in calyx or bracts. No flowers.
