Open, moist, highly-vegetated riparian zone along creek and with 15 ft of water, surrounded by Thuja plicata/Asarum caudatum habitat type. Moist alluvial soils, no slope. Assoc.: Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Athryium filix-femina, Cornus stolonifer, Smilacina stellata, Rubus parviflorus, and Boykinia major. Perennial with white ligulate flowers in open panicles, deltoid to sagittate leaves along stem, 5-8 dm tall. Phenology: Flowers.
