Steep, north-facing slope on S side of FR 426. Spruce forest with large openings. Stems curving at base; basal and lower cauline leaves largest and persistent, oblanceolate to spatulate; involucre and stem ~ hairy, glandular, rays 1 mm wide. Phenology: Flowers & Fruits.
