Idaho: Owyhee County: Air distance 25.63 km ESE from Riddle 1) Head southeast on Roland Rd. for 41.2km. 2) Turn right/northwest onto no-named, 2-track road, and travel for 3.5km to reach pasture entrance. 3) Continue straight on no-named road into pasture for another 3.2km (heading NW). 4) Park on the left/north side of the road. Elev. 1661 m.

Rolling hills with canyon to the west and mountains to the east; some large rocks present, over story is Wyoming sage, green and rubber rabbitbrush, and hop sage, dominate grasses are bluebunch wheatgrass, Sandberg bluegrass, Idaho fescue, and squirreltail, cheat grass present, but scattered, soil is rocky, silty, dry. Yellow flower heads lacking rays; leaves are slightly obovate and covered in white hair; nearly lacks cauline leaves, abundant. Phenology: Flowers.
