Midslope bench, NW aspect, 10% slope. Plants medium green to orange-brown. Forming dense carpet over soil and logs at shaded margins of a shallow seasonal pond. In conifer forest with sparse shrub and sedge understory. With Abies lasiocarpa, Picea engelmannii, Pinus contorta, Calamagrostis canadensis, Alnus incana, Carex vesicaria, and Aulacomnium androgynum. Identified by Joe Elliot
